CEMETERY GROUNDS RULES
- No glass, wire, fences, benches (unless used as the headstone), loitering, or alcoholic beverages permitted.
- No trees, shrubs, or other immovable objects other than the headstone are allowed on the grave site.
- All ground flowers are to be removed 10 days after the holiday.
- All flowers and decorations not attached to headstones must be removed the day before each mowing date.
- (During the mowing season). Dates are posted on the website.
- Cemetery is closed from dusk to dawn.
CEMETERY BURIAL RULES
- ALL BURIALS MUST HAVE BURIAL PERMITS AT THE TIME OF BURIAL!
- ALL INTERMENTS (CREMATION BURIALS) MUST HAVE CREMATION CERTIFICATE FROM
- THE CREMATORIUM OR BURIAL PERMIT AT THE TIME OF INTERMENT!
- Cemetery Sexton must be notified before any burials of remains, objects, or headstone placements.
- It is to the discretion of the Cemetery Sexton of what is acceptable to be buried or placed in the cemetery.
- All burials except interments (cremation burials) must be placed in no less than a concrete vault with lid.
- Minimum depth of ALL remains or objects buried is to be no less than 24” below the surface.
- Minimum depth of headstone or monument footers is to be 30” or greater in depth.
ALL RULES ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED AND ARE SUBJECT TO PROSECUTION!
CEMETERY PLOT FEES
- PLOTS PURCHASED BY TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS
- Single grave lots- $450.00 ea.
- PLOTS PURCHASED BY NON-TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS
- Each lot is $900.00
BURIAL FEES
- GRAVE LAYOUT AT CEMETERY
- $50.00 per grave. (Due at the time of burial or mailed by funeral home)
- SINGLE OR DOUBLE DEPTH VAULT BURIAL (MAX. 2 PER PLOT)
- Single or double depth graves has to be decided at the time of the first burial. If single is chosen there cannot be a double depth grave later. ($50.00 layout fee per vault)
- INTERMENT (CREMATION BURIAL) BY CEMETERY SEXTON (1 BURIAL PER PLOT)
- $200.00 (Includes $50.00 layout fee)
- Size of cremation container not to exceed 18” L x 18” W x 18” H. For containers over this size, the township grave digger will need to be contacted by the family to make arrangements for opening the grave. This information can be obtained from the cemetery sexton. ($50.00 layout fee not included in grave diggers price).
- INTERMENT (CREMATION BURIAL) BY FAMILY (1-3 BURIALS PER PLOT)
- $50.00 plot layout and depth inspection by Cemetery Sexton. (PER BURIAL)
- If the plot is to be used for multiple burials, they must start out in cremation vaults. Vault information can be obtained from the cemetery sexton.
MULTIPLE INTERMENT (CREMATION BURIAL) BY GRAVE DIGGER (MAX. 3 PER PLOT)
- When there are multiple cremations buried on one plot, the cremations must be in a cremation vault to help locate at a later burial. These burials need to be done by the township grave digger. Funeral arrangements and vault purchases can be made by a funeral home or the grave digger. ($50.00 layout fee not included in grave diggers price. PER BURIAL). Grave diggers contact information can be obtained from the cemetery sexton.
DIY HEADSTONE PLACEMENT
- $75.00 layout and footer depth inspection by Cemetery Sexton.
- INDIGENT INTERMENT (CREMATION BURIAL) BY CEMETERY SEXTON
- $50.00 paid to Cemetery Sexton by the Township.
